The Sentencing Council has published a statistical bulletin and data tables, setting out current sentencing practice for non-fatal strangulation and suffocation offences.

This is in preparation for the launch of the Council’s consultation on the draft Non-fatal strangulation and suffocation guideline, which will be published tomorrow, Wednesday 15 May 2024.
