Public confidence in sentencing and the criminal justice system: 2022, published today, reports on research conducted for the Council to provide insight into what drives the public’s attitudes to and understanding of the criminal justice system. The research, which follows up on a similar study conducted in 2018, makes a series of recommendations on actions the Council might take to reinforce and improve public confidence.
