Today, the Lord Chancellor has announced the appointment of Johanna Robinson as a non-judicial member of the Sentencing Council with experience of the promotion of the welfare of victims of crime. Her appointment to the Sentencing Council is for an initial term of 3 years from 5 October 2023.

Since September 2022, Johanna Robinson has served as a National Adviser to the Welsh Government on Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence. In this role she provides Welsh Ministers with an expert perspective on the development and implementation of policy across the Welsh Government, working with victims and survivors to ensure their experience informs policy development.
